He would later take the place of the same teacher at Beacon a mere six years later where he remained as the school’s history teacher for twenty-one years until the academy’s destruction after the 40th Vytal Festival. He went into historical and field research after graduation, earning early praise for his studies, findings, and activism. He was encouraged by his history professor to tutor students who were failing and soon grew to love using what he knew to help those around him understand the world better. He entered into Beacon Academy where he gained a passion not just for learning, but for helping others do the same. His primary inspiration for eventually enrolling in Beacon Academy came from a faunus friend in his youth who suffered from heavy bullying and persecution, which drove him to seek to find a way to use his talents to better the world. The young Barty was shown early on to be gifted and was enrolled in school a year early.
